Councillors and local residents will next week (23rd September) hear more about a City Council scheme to help children cross the roads in safety.

The Kerbcraft scheme works with primary schools in both Speke and Garston. Organisers will recruit local people to act as trainers. The trainers will then work with groups of primary school children to make them more safety aware when crossing roads.

Staff are currently recruiting trainers and liaising with local schools, who have welcomed the initiative.

The scheme will be explained in more detail at the area committee covering Speke and Garston.

The area committee meets at 5 30 at the Bridge Centre on Heath Road,Garston. Any local resident is able to attend and hear debates and ask questions about local issues.

More information about the area committee is available at
