Greenhill Road takeaway turned down

A proposal to turn the grocers on Greenhill Road into a takeaway has been turned down.

The idea was for the shop on the corner with Melbreck Road - number 306.

Lib Dem Councillors Paula Keaveney and Richard Oglethorpe objected saying they were worried about litter, traffic and other potential problems.

They were joined by residents from near the shop who had similar concerns.
