"This is simply yet another Labour stealth tax," said Tom.
Local Lib Dem campaigner Tom Moretta has slammed Labour's budget plans which means local residents will now have to pay for bulk rubbish to be removed.
Tom fears the move will lead to an increase in fly tipping in the area in rural roads and lanes such as Finch Lane and Lower Road.
Tom said: "Yet again Labour run Knowsley Council are penalising people in a way that I fear will only lead to an increase in fly tipping as people cannot afford to pay for it in these tough times.
"This is simply yet another Labour stealth tax," added Tom.
"While introducing these charges the Labour party in Knowsley are spending local tax payers money - £37,000 of it - attending the Labour party conference. They have got their priorities totally and utterly wrong," said Tom Moretta.
