Tom is backing the Burns Unti campaign
Halewood Liberal Democrats are backing the campaign to stop health planners from axeing the intensive care beds in the Burns Units at Whiston Hospital and Alder Hey.
The Labour government wants to move these beds to Manchester - causing longer journey times for people needing urgent specialist treatment.
Local Lib Dem campaigner Tom Moretta said: "It is outrageous that the Labour government is planning to relocate these beds to Manchester. Local residents here in Halewood know just how valuable the services are at Whiston hospital, while Alder Hey is a leader in its field - so why do they want to take something away from it?"
