Liverpool's planning committee will next week (Tuesday 15th September) consider the plans by Jack Allen holdings ( a private company) to put a waste facility at Garston Dock.
Lib Dem Councillors for Cressington, Peter Millea, Richard Oglethorpe and Paula Keaveney have been campaigning against this scheme.
Before the committee can decide, Council planning staff write a report about the application, the objections and all the aspects involved.
The report, which is published today, recommends that the planning committee turns the scheme down.
Says Councillor Richard Oglethorpe: " I am really pleased. There were lots of objections with really clear arguments against this plan."
A decision has not yet been made as the planning committee will vote next week.
The report on the plan and all the various arguments and objections is available now on the Liverpool City Council website. You can find it at http://councillors.liverpool.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?MId=9406.
