Polling day for the European Elections is Thursday 4th June.
It's now too late to register to vote for these elections.
If you are voting by post, you should receive your vote in the next few days if it hasn't come already. If you are not voting by post, or have not arranged a proxy vote, you should go to the polling station as usual.
People are electing MEPs in this election. There will be eight MEPs representing the North West of England. Each party finds up to eight candidates to stand. Voters select a party on the ballot paper (although the list of names is also included)
So that all of Europe discovers its results at the same time, the votes cast on Thursday 4th June will not be counted until the following Sunday night. Results should be known by early Monday morning.
