Crime in Speke/Garston ward went down as a result of a targeted week of action by Liverpool City Council and its partners.
The reduction was in the month following last year's RESPECT week, which saw activities all over the ward designed to re inforce crime reduction and deal with environmental problems.
A report into the effect of the campaign shows not just a reduction in crime but also a reduction in the number of reports of anti social behaviour.
A second season of RESPECT weeks kicks off again this Summer with a week of events in Speke and Garston planned for mid September.
