The new Garston Art Gallery - the New Slaughterhouse - is looking for artists, craftspeople and other creative workers based in Garston or the wider South Liverpool area to submit work for a new exhibition called "Made in Garston". The exhibition is being organised to promote and raise the profile of creatives based in Garston and the cultural industries generally. The project, which is part of the Garston Cultural Village Scheme , is also aims to raise public awareness and appreciation of local talent.
Anyone who has work including painting, sculpture, fashion, graphics, poetry, photography, film making any any other form of art can submit work for the exhibition. The deadline for submission is this Friday (20th June).
The exhibition itself is due to open the following Friday (27th June).
Please contact the gallery on 0151 427 9995 before taking any work there. The Gallery is based at 50 St Mary's Road, Garston. Its usual opening times are from 1 to 5 pm Tuesday to Saturday.
