Garston Streetwaves heat - 15 June

The Streetwaves heat for the Garston area takes place later this week (15 June) at the Garston Leisure Centre on Long Lane.

Streetwaves is a Culture Company Music Project that animates and makes use of Liverpool's 5 neighbourhood areas and Merseyside boroughs. Now back in its 4th and most special year to date, our aim is to continue to bring our communities and young people together to enjoy fantastic locally made music.

After the overwhelming response to our call for local musicians to take part in Streetwaves,a panel of judges made up of music industry professionals and young people have selected fantastic line ups to play events across Liverpool and the Merseyside boroughs.

All selected acts will now play live on indoor and outdoor stages in front of our panel of judges in order to become the Most Ready Act from their area.

Being named as the Most Ready Act will open doors to some fantastic opportunities; These include playing Mathew Street Festival & Creamfields 2008, recording tunes at Elevator Studios, working with leading designers A Design Collective and in addition to this their will be very special opportunities throughout Europe which will be announced shortly!
