Liverpool is fed up with being let down by Labour politicians.
In recent months, the city has been hit by a series of blunders from Labour.
FIRST, the Labour led Fire Authority slashed funding to local fire services putting lives at risk.
SECOND, the Labour Government turned down a request from the Police for extra funding to cope with thousands of extra visitors to the city.
THIRD, the Labour Government HALVED the crime and safety budget in the city. A decision taken just
months after the tragic death of local schoolboy Rhys Jones.
Local Cllr Tom Marshall said, "Labour politicians talk a good game, but their actions tell a very different story."
"The truth is that Labour are putting local people at risk with their fire and crime cuts."
Manchester gets better deal Tourism to the city is getting a huge boost thanks to the Capital of Culture. But the Government's refusal to provide extra funding to cope with visitors has come as a tough blow for the city.
It has been revealed that similar requests from cities like Manchester were given the green light by Labour.
Cllr Andrew Makinson said, "Manchester got an extra £4million just to police the Labour party conference and £9million for the commonwealth games. There seems to be one rule for Manchester and a different one for Liverpool."
