Lib Dem Councillors will later this week (Friday 11th April) be discussing plans to build new housing on the site of the now closed Highwayman Pub on Shrewton Road, L25.
The pub, which when open was a cause of complaints from local residents, has since closing been being demolished in preparation for other developments.
Now the City Council's Executive Board is to agree proposals for the sale of the land so that eight new houses can be built within the next two years.
Information about the Executive Board, including agendas and minutes, is available at www.liverpool.gov.uk
The proposals are being welcomed by Lib Dem Councillor Tom Marshall, who represents Belle Vale.
"It'll be great to see housing there. The Highwayman unfortunately became a problem and then a blight on the area. I have been pushing for this new development so its great that things are moving ahead".
