Cash boost for Woodlands!

April 3, 2008 12:00 AM

The Woodlands Community Centre, and the residents association, have both benefitted from a 12 million pound cash boost for voluntary groups across Liverpool.

The City Council grants programme will see £430,000 being spent on work to refurbish and upgrade the Woodlands Community Centre.

Lib Dem Councillor, Tom Marshall, has been working with the Community Centre committee to ensure it gets the support it needs.

Says Tom:

" I am delighted that this facility has been granted the cash. It provides the community with something for everyone - from activities for little children right through to those for the elderly residents of the area"
