Lib Dems in Garston are calling for action to be taken to cut down on the pollution being caused by work at Garston Docks.
Councillors are making the call in a motion to the City Council's Garston Neighbourhood Committee, which meets later this week (Thursday 13th March)
The motion reads:
That the Garston Neighbourhood Committee notes with concern the continued emission of soda ash and magnesite dust during loading operations at Garston Dock and requests representatives of ABP Garston, Frank Armitt and the Environmental Health service to attend the next Garston Neighbourhood Committee meeting to explain the steps they are taking to address this problem.
There will be another neighbourhood committee meeting in April.
Information about the neighbourhood committees, which bring together representatives from neighbouring local authority wards, is available at www.liverpool.gov.uk. This includes agendas and minutes as well as general information about council decision making.
