Primary schools in South Liverpool are to get extra cash to upgrade playgrounds to encourage more children to become more active.
The money from the Lib Dem City Council is to be agreed at a meeting of the Council's Executive Board later this week (14th March).
In a three year programme, three quarters of a million pounds is to be spent across the City.
In year one the schools benefiting include Norman Pannell and Much Woolton Catholic Primary.
