Hunts Cross Avenue area - update on Councillor Action

February 17, 2008 6:15 AM

Below is an update on some actions being taken for local residents by Lib Dem Councillors.

Charterhouse Road resurfacing is the first part of a staged process to slow traffic in the area. Residents have been concerned about the speed of traffic in the area. 'The resurfacing will be followed by a consultation on double yellow lines at the junction with Speke Road and that will be followed by a consultation on speed humps to slow traffic.' Said Lib Dem Councillor Flo Clucas.

Local councillors Flo Clucas, Vera Best and John Clucas are currently consulting residents of Manor Road about anti-social behaviour in the area. There has been concern by residents that this is an increasing problem resulting in criminal damage.

Residents on Hunts Cross Ave are to be consulted about the placing of green hoops on grass verges near its junction with Kings Drive. New litter bins have been ordered for the area and for the Heyes/Kings Drive location.

Flo Clucas can be contacted at flo.clucas@liverpool.gov.uk
