Grants on offer for local groups from local Primary Care Trust.

February 1, 2008 12:00 AM

Liverpool Primary Care Trust is looking for applications from local groups wanting cash from the small grants scheme.

The Scheme offers grants of up to £5,000 to

community organisations, Children's Centres, nurseries and schools within

Liverpool PCT's area. The aim of the grants is to help local people

promote health within their own communities. I would appreciate it if you

could forward the flyer to anyone you think might be interested. Some of

the main criteria for the Scheme are:

The PCT is keen to support projects in small neighborhoods that

demonstrate the involvement of local people, particularly people from

Black and minority ethnic communities.

  • projects have to be new and focus on health
  • core running costs can't be funded
  • organisations applying for over £2,000 are expected to fund

50% of the cost of their project, they also need to indicate how their

project contributes to the achievement of the PCT's work priorities.

The application pack can be downloaded from the PCT's website

www.liverpoolpct.nhs.uk/voice/funding. If you have any queries about the

Scheme; if you would like to check whether your organization is eligible

for a grant; if you would like an application pack posted to you; or if

you want to discuss your ideas before completing the application form;

then please phone Sarah Hennessy on 296 7422.
