Work starts next month on major improvements to the shops at Belle Vale. The centre is to be expanded with more shops and better disabled access.
The news was given at a public meeting in Belle Vale which took place last night (21st January). The company which owns the centre met traders and local residents to explain plans and answer questions.
Lib Dem Belle Vale Councillor Tom Marshall attended the meeting to raise residents views and make sure key questions were answered.
He says: "I am delighted to have been working with the centre over the last few months on this. I think these improvements will really enhance our area"
Work is due to start around the end of February and to be completed in the Autumn.
Says Tom: "It is a pity that this area's Labour Councillors have not joined me in working for the improvements to the centre that residents have called for"
