Liverpool has the privilege of hosting the 2008 National Holocaust Memorial Day Programme and Main Commemorative Event. The programme of events will take place between now and 31 January 2008.

On it, we commemorate victims, honour survivors and commit to tackling prejudice, discrimination and racism in the present day. In hundreds of places across the UK, and in thousands around the world, people come together to honour the past and build a safer, fairer world.
The Main Commemorative Event will take place on 27 January 2008 at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
A programme of educational activities have been taking place across the city, with over two weeks of events taking place from 14 January until 31 January.
