October 20, 2007 9:01 AM

Red and pink flowers.Woolton Village has won yet again in the North West in Bloom competition.

The village has triumphed for the 4th time in the Best Large Village contest.

Woolton Village's work in the competition is led by a keen group of volunteers, including local Councillors Barbara Collinge and Barbara Mace. The entry is supported by Liverpool City Council.

Says Barbara Collinge: "This latest win is testament to all the work that's gone on and all the enthusiasm from residents, local organisations and businesses".

Woolton Village will again be representing the North West in the national Britain in Bloom awards.
