A South Liverpool Councillor is calling for improvements to a vital bus service covering part of Liverpool and Knowsley.
The 89 bus is often used by people visiting Whiston hospital, either to visit in patients or as a patient attending a clinic.
Yet, says Belle Vale Lib Dem, Tom Marshall, the service can leave a lot to be desired.
"I have had complaints from residents in Belle Vale about the service. These are from people needing to get to Whiston but who have found the service not frequent enough, particularly in the evenings. This is important because people who become ill in parts of South Liverpool are often taken to, or referred to, Whiston rather than the Royal. I am in touch with Merseytravel about the need for improvements to the number 89".
Cllr Tom Marshall can be contacted on this, or other issues, by e mailing him at thomas.marshall@liverpool.gov.uk.
