Compost giveaway for keen Liverpool gardeners

Liverpool city council is giving away 20 tonnes of compost over the weekend of 3rd - 4th November 2007. This giveaway is a 'Thank you' to our residents for recycling over 10,000 tonnes of green waste so far this year and to promote the use of home composting bins.

Saturday 3rd November - Calderstones Park, Calderstones Road, between 10am-2pm. Main car park area,

Sunday 4th November - Walton Hall Park sports centre, Walton Hall Avenue, between 10am-2pm. Car park area.

Residents are asked to bring along your own shovels and bags to collect their free compost.
