The new City Council Community Resources Unit Funding Programme 2008-2011 has just been launched. Funding is available for constituted, not for profit voluntary and community organisations serving Liverpool citizens. The money is available for a period of three years.
The minimum grant is £5,000 per organisation per annum and the maximum is £200,000 per organisation per annum.
The programme supports the City Council's Vision to build and safeguard a fair, prosperous and open city where no-one is in poverty; where our citizens are well educated and take part in the decisions that affect them and where the cultural and religious differences between people are valued and celebrated. A vibrant, effective and diverse voluntary and community sector is critical to this success.
Revenue grants will be available commencing in April 2008 and will be
awarded for up to three years subject to satisfactory annual review.
Funding will be available under the following 5 themes:
*Community Legal Advice Services
*Support for Victims of Domestic Violence
*Non-Housing Support for Single Homeless people
*Stronger Communities
*Strengthening Community and Voluntary Organisations
