A Woolton Lib Dem Councillor has been nominated for a national award to mark her contribution to the Liberal Democrats.
Councillor Barbara Collinge is one of those nominated for the party's Patsy Calton award.
Patsy Calton was an MP for Cheadle who died shortly after the 2005 General Election. To honour her and her work the Lib Dems set up the award, which will be given for the first time this year.
The winner will be announced at the party's national conference , which takes place in Brighton next month (16 to 22 September).
In addition to representing Woolton ward, Barbara Collinge has played a key role championing the cause of "looked after children" in Liverpool. She currently chairs the Gateacre neighbourhood committee.
