School Lane - call for action.

June 15, 2007 2:19 PM

Allerton and Hunts Cross Councillor Flo Clucas is calling for action to stop vandalism and disturbances on School Lane.

She made her call at a meeting of the Gateacre Neighbourhood Committee earlier this week (12 June)

Her motion to the committee reads:

"Instances of unacceptable behaviour of gangs of youths using School Lane as a thoroughfare to access Camphill, throughout evenings and into the early hours of the morning, causing damage to properties and vehicles require immediate actions. This Neighbourhood Committee requests the South Liverpool Neighbourhood Manager to arrange a meeting with the Police, Neighbourhood Management Officers, Anti Social Behaviour Officers, Ward Members and other appropriate partners, to seek remedies to address these problems."

The Gateacre Neighbourhood Committee brings together Councillors, council officers and representatives of other agencies from Woolton, Allerton and Hunts Cross and Belle Vale wards.

Agendas and minutes for the meetings, which are open to the public, are available at

www.liverpool.gov.uk (section on councillors and democracy).
