Local schools go greener

Two Garston schools are bidding to get "eco school" status.

Eco schools are those that have committed themselves to environmental principles and to carrying out their work in a way which benefits the environment or causes the least harm.

The two schools who have signed up to become Eco Schools are Garston Church of England Primary School and New Heys School.

They are among a list of schools across Liverpool to make the environmental commitment.
