People in walking under the bridges at Belle Vale Road and Gorsey Cop Way (L25) can now do so without fearing pigeon droppings thanks to work by local councillor Ian Phillips. The two bridges have been "netted" to prevent the pigeons. It's hoped that similar work can be carried out at other bridges on the "loop line" route in future.
And children at St Gregory's school in Netherley are safer now thanks to a new barrier at Linden Road. The barrier makes the pupils route out of school a lot safer. The City Council did the work following action by Lib Dem Councillor Tom Marshall.
Says Tom: " The barriers will be welcomed by residents who initially
asked the Labour Party for action that was not forthcoming."
