Speke traffic calming - consultation starts

December 11, 2006 12:00 AM

A Lib Dem Council scheme to introduce more traffic calming, and lower speed limits, to parts of the Speke estate, has started its consultation stage.

People living in Speke should have received letters including details of the parts of the scheme affecting their area.

The whole project is vast, including roads between Western Avenue and Alderfield Drive at the far eastern edge of the estate.

Council officers are now asking local people to let them have their comments.

A special exhibition is being arranged on 19th December from 10 am till 7pm at St Christopher's School on Tarbock Road.. But people can also send comments to Oliver Brown at oliver.brown@2020liverpool.co.uk.

Lib Dem Councillors Danny Hughes and Paula Keaveney would also like to hear people's views. The two Councillors' contact details are on the contacts section of this website. General comments can also be sent to info@garstonld.org.uk
