Grants deadline - just a few days left

There are just a few days left for organisations to apply for small grants under the new Empowering Neighbourhoods Grants scheme.
The scheme has been set up by the Lib Dem controlled City Council.
The idea is that organisations wanting money for work which will benefit a community or area can apply for funds. Organisations need to discuss their application with at least one Councillor. Final decisions will be made by Councillors on neighbourhood committees.
Says Paula Keaveney: "I have already discussed applications with three organisations interested in applying in my area, but there may be others out there who haven't finished their forms yet. It's really important that forms are back to the Council by the deadline - this Friday (27th)".
