The City Council is launching a scheme of small grants for groups working to benefit their local community.
Bids for funds must be backed by at least one City Councillor from the relevant ward when being submitted. All the applications will be considered by members of the city's neighbourhood committees.
Organisations can apply for grants for work in one ward, or for work that covers the whole neighbourhood committee area.
Scheme organisers believe the fund will be very popular, so councillors will be giving priority to schemes that will have real benefits locally and which will involve local people.
Information about the Empowering Neighbourhoods Scheme is available from corporate.grants@liverpool.gov.uk or 0151 225 2627. Contact details for Lib Dem ward councillors are available via the navigation bar of this website.
The closing date for applications is 27th October.
