Liverpool's Liberal Democrats have vowed to fight Labour's latest pension insult which they think will cause hardship to elderly and vulnerable people.
Labour's budget this year has cut a £200 payment to pensioners which may now say was just an election tax bribe from Tony Blair last year.
Lib Dem Campaigner Peter Rainford said "Pensioners have been treated very badly by both the Conservatives, and now by Labour.
First the link with earnings was broken. Then Labour gave pensioners an insulting 75 pence increase.
Now they have made it worse and all pensioners are going to be £200 a year worse off."
