Lib Dems introduce free gym access for kids

SwimmingLiverpool's 50,000 young people will soon have free access to council run gyms and swimming pools like those in Speke and Garston.

The Lib Dem scheme is aimed at helping young people have healthier lives and finding constructive things for them to do.

Lib Dem Councillor Frank Roderick has welcomed the plans. He says:

"Many young people have told me they don't want to hang around the streets, they want places to go. We investigated what would meet their needs - and this is the result".
