Councillors Ian Phillips and Tom Marshall have launched a campaign to crackdown on the environmental crimes which blight the area.
Ian and Tom are particularly concerned about fly tipping, graffiti and litter - but want action on dumped cars, fly posting and other environmental nuisances too.
The Councillors are encouraging local residents to take part in an Environment Watch scheme, using dedicated phone, e mail and freepost contacts so that environmental problems can be reported and dealt with quickly.
The campaign follows earlier action by Lib Dem Councillors to improve security at Nookfield Park and Netherley Park, where fly tipping and burnt out cars have been a problem. Future environmental plans include some new tree planting in the Thornton Road and Eastham Close area.
Residents who want to become environment watchers should contact the Lib Dem Councillors by e mailing
or

They can also phone 0151 733 2439 to ask for the packs for Netherley and Belle Vale.
