Local people have said no to plans by supermarket store Tesco to expand its Mather Avenue store onto the playing field space next door.
The Wavertree Neighbourhood Committee, which covers three Council wards in the south suburbs, met earlier this week to discuss the plans (27th September).
After a lengthy debate, the Committee voted to object to the plans.
This objection now goes to the City Council's Planning Committee, which is due to discuss and vote on the plans in October.
This is the second planning application from Tescos for this site. The first was refused by the City Council, but the superstore company is appealing over that decision.
Councillors for Church ward, which covers the Tesco site, are keen to hear residents views on the issue. They are Richard Kemp, Erica Kemp and Colin Eldridge. They can be contacted via 0151 225 2354 or via the contact details on the navigation bar of this website.
Minutes and agendas of neighbourhood committees and planning committees are available on the City Council's website at www.liverpool.gov.uk.
