Local residents and traders are to have their say over plans by Tesco to expand its Mather Avenue store onto the playing fields alongside.
The store has made a second planning application to Liverpool City Council for an expansion.
The City's planning committee, which is not permitted to decide things on party political lines, meets next month to hear the application and vote on it.
Meanwhile however local people are being given the opportunity to have their say beforehand later this month.
The scheme will be discussed by the Wavertree Neighbourhood Committee on 27th September. The committee is made up of local councillors, advisory members and members of relevant agencies. Members of the public are encouraged to come along and have their say about any item on the agenda, but it's expected that the Tesco plan will be the main issue that evening.
The committee meets at Calderstones school at
6 30pm. The chair is Councillor Colin Eldridge.
