A royal Bank of Scotland report just released shows that students outside of London can be particularly badly off.
The study demonstrated that for most students, part time work is a necessity rather than an option.
Lib Dem education spokesperson Ed Davey, commenting on the study said:
"In liverpool students are working long hours to make ends meet. Many young people will leave University with massive levels of debt that will take decades to clear. The problem is likely to be intensified when the governments unpopular top-up fees come into effect next year".
Says Liverpool Garston Parliamentary Spokesperson, Paula Keaveney:
"The Lib Dems want to scrap tuition fees as we believe that education should be based on ability to learn, not ability to pay".
