The Liberal Democrats recent General Election Campaign - and campaigns against tuition fees and for free care for elderly people - have brought thousands more members to the party in the last few days.
National figures from party HQ show that people who have been both previous Labour and Conservative supporters, as well as people who have not been involved in politics before, are deciding to get involved in the party.
Membership is up in Garston too, with people signing up as a result of Paula Keaveney's campaign in the constituency.
Says Paula: " We found that people were sick of the neglect they had received from Labour at national level and have realised that the Lib Dems are the real alternative. Anyone interested in joining, or finding out more about the party, can get in touch with me and I'll be happy to explain more about what we do".
It's possible to join the Lib Dems via the party website (using the link on the navigation bar). Alternatively people in Liverpool can contact paula keaveney for a form or more information.
