Lib Dem campaigner Paula Keaveney and Garston resident Susan Ireland handed over four hundred pounds to Oxfam today, the result of their fundraising for the victims of the Tsunami.
Paula and Susan walked from Liverpool to Southport on a sponsored walk to raise the money, which they handed over to Oxfam North West Campaigner Chris Worrall at a ceremony at the Oxfam shop in Garston village.
Says Paula:
" It was great to be able to do something practical to help the appeals - although the last few miles on the way to southport were hard and I have never been so glad to see the railway station (the end of the journey) before."
The idea for the walk came from Susan who, moved by the coverage of the Tsunami, wanted to do something to help.
