More than 50 CCTV cameras have been fitted to homes in Netherley to help make people feel more safe and secure in their houses.
The scheme, the first of its kind in Liverpool, is designed to help cut crime and anti social behaviour.
The Safe in the Home project was launched because people were concerned about bogus callers and behaviour causing a nuisance. The cameras have particularly helped elderly residents, who were worried about gangs of youths near their houses.
Safe in the Home is funded by the Lib Dem City Council. If the Netherley schemes proves successful, it may be tried elsewhere in the City.
