A Liverpool Councillor has called for the City's policies on resurfacing to be changed.
At the moment if a road is resurfaced, but there is a small close off it that is not so bad, the close is left.
Yet, says Councillor Paula Keaveney, this is illogical.
"Surely it makes sense to do closes and cul de sacs at the same time as the main road having the work rather than make another journey in a year or two's time when the surface has deteriorated"
Paula Keaveney, who represents Speke Garston has put a motion to the City Council calling for a change in policy so that closes are not neglected.
"Residents seeing roads around the corner done, but theirs left out , are right to think the system should be changed".
