Councillor Frank Roderick, a long time Lib Dem councillor in Garston, becomes the new Lord Mayor of Liverpool tonight (30th June).
This means he will chair council meetings and represent the council at hundreds of official functions.
Frank is currently one of the Lib Dems representing the Speke Garston ward, where he was elected with a majority of 600 on June 10th.
During Frank's mayoral year he will be raising money for a group of charities, including Bankfield House, which is in Garston under the Bridge, and the Samaritans.
